My family and I have been very fortunate to be able to take several interesting trips together this year. One of our favorite places to visit is central Florida, home of the Walt Disney World Resort. The surrounding area is full of the best restaurants, resorts, and attractions, making it an ideal destination for family travel.
The Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort is located just minutes away from the Walt Disney World Parks, Sea World, and other well-known area attractions of Kissimmee and Orlando, so we were very eager to check it out on our most recent trip to Florida.
We were invited to stay in a double bunkbed suite that fully exceeded our expectations, both in terms of luxury and comfort. Immediately upon entering the suite, a formal sitting area – complete with pull-out couch, coffee table, mini-fridge, and television – was made available for our enjoyment. This sitting area made the suite feel like our home away from home, which helped us to unwind from the Disney excitement that we experienced each day.
Danger really enjoyed the bunkbeds, and even asked that I share in the experience of bunking with her for the evening. The bunkbeds were very comfortable, and each bed came equipped with a reading light built in to the headboard, making it very easy to snuggle up for our nightly bedtime story routine.
The master bedroom of the suite was well appointed, and featured two Queen-sized beds and another television. These beds were among the most comfortable that I have ever experienced, and were outfitted in plush pillows and sheets that were as elegant as they were cozy.
Our suite overlooked the outdoor recreational area, which was an added bonus for the time that we spent planning our next family activity.
The Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort offers many recreational activities and features, including two swimming pools, game room, fitness center, Top of the Palms Spa, and poolside guided activities. It was so nice to have so many amenities because we were able to add some fun to our downtime without ever leaving the hotel.
My family especially enjoyed the resort’s outdoor pool area. After a long day at Walt Disney World’s famous parks, we could think of no better place to cool off than poolside at the Sheraton. Danger splashed around in the zero-entry pool area quite a bit, while her grandparents dove into the deeper pool to swim some laps.
The zero-entry splash pool and formal lap pool are surrounded by private cabanas that are available for guests that desire a more luxurious and private resort experience. Cabanas are equipped with ceiling fans, plush lounge seating, TV, and a mini-fridge for added convenience.
The Sheraton Lake Buena Vista Resort is a wonderful choice for families visiting the Orlando / Kissimmee areas for vacation – not only for the central location, but also for the quality and price. I look forward to exploring more of the Sheraton properties on our next family vacation.
